Environment Minister Peter Garrett yesterday released the latest outline of how mandatory disclosure of office building energy efficiency on sale or lease will work. And there’s a surprise! It’s now proposed that NABERS Energy ratings will not only have to be displayed in all advertising material, they’ll be displayed for all to see on the government’s website for the duration of the rating. Public disclosure of building energy performance is being strengthened.

Big Switch Projects wins "Best Environmental Business" at the Sydney Business Awards!

Big Switch Projects has been announced as the winner of the Environmental Business category in a glittering gala event hosted by David Koch at the Sheraton On The Park Hotel last night.

Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore MP said  that “Small and medium sized business in the City of Sydney local government area accounts for a staggering 12.5% of State GDP and nearly 5% of Australian national GDP,” Ms Moore said.

“We have more than 20,000 small and medium businesses and the City’s Business Awards show our commitment to supporting them on their road to becoming successful and sustainable enterprises."
