For all three tiers of government in Australia, Big Switch Projects can help with energy efficiency opportunity identification within government facilities, policy advice on energy and carbon issues, and program management.

We’re about as experienced as they come in reviewing government facilities, ranging from office tenancies, to government buildings, aquatic centres, libraries and council depots. We can perform NABERS Energy ratings for government agencies, either when the agencies are tenants or when they occupy the whole building. As we do for the private sector, we can create energy and carbon management plans, setting targets and ensuring they are met.  And we can help with project management to deliver the projects.

We offer broad policy advice for governments considering new energy efficiency and sustainability policies and programs. We’re confident we know what will work and what won’t, based on over a decade’s experience in our field.

We’re also specialists at designing and running energy efficiency programs, for the commercial, industrial and residential sectors. We have designed and run network-driven demand management programs in western Sydney both for the NSW Government and Integral Energy (now Endeavour Energy), and a highly successful residential energy efficiency scheme in the northern suburbs of Wollongong.

For the past three years we’ve been running the Business Energy Efficiency Programs of both the Blacktown Solar City and the Adelaide Solar City, flagship schemes funded by the Australian Government.
